We will cover what is and an Order of Protection, and what is it not? What are the differences between an OP and other forms of protection? Who needs one, and what constitutes abuse?

Join us for an open discussion of what legal means may be available, hosted in a safe space with a focus on empowering women and victims of domestic abuse.

Olivia:

Olivia joined The Law Office of Erin M. Wilson, LLC as a Law Clerk in March 2019 and upon being admitted to the Illinois State Bar in January 2021, she became an Associate Attorney. Olivia received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a minor in Law and Public Policy from Indiana University in 2017. She subsequently received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in May of 2020, with a certificate in Child and Family Law. 

While attending DePaul University College of Law, Olivia volunteered with multiple organizations including the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic (now Ascend Justice) where she helped pro se litigants obtain Emergency Orders of Protection, the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago (CRFC) with the Lawyers in the Classroom program, and the Neighborhood Legal Assistance Program helping the southside of Chicago’s homeless population obtain state IDs and expunge their criminal records. She also was involved with the DePaul Child and Family Law Association and Phi Alpha Delta. 

Olivia is originally from Woodbridge, Virginia and first moved to the mid-west in 2013. She has always been interested in helping and advocating for families and children through the law.
